I'm a few weeks into my first PSG (a Fessenden). Lost with a mechanical issue, I came here and found John's contact information. When I wrote him he called the next day and talked me thru the fix. Talked Montana fishing to pass the time while I fumbled around under my instrument, til I finally got it right. What a kind and genuine man.

In my first few weeks I've also received help from Andrew Friedman and Jonathan Gregg, each picker kinder and more patient, welcoming and energizing than the next. It's an inspiration. Not just in music but in the sharing of knowledge and goodwill. Appreciate yall very much. Cheers.

Same experience here. I reached out to John to ask about a Derby steel he was selling and we talked for over 30 minutes abut the different makes and models of steel and what might suit me more as a newbie. Nice guy who is generous with his time!
