Here is Mark Draycott's obit in Gone Home from 2022:
https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=3105247
It is possible that this thread has been put up by someone in Mark's family. However, if that is the case, the full details must be disclosed. Until (and if) I hear something from whoever posted this, I'm closing this thread with a warning that someone may have hacked into this account.
If whoever posted this wants this thread reinstated, you need to email or PM me and explain what's going on. If I don't hear from you within a reasonable period, I will remove this thread and suspend this membership.
In the meantime, I strongly suggest that anybody considering purchasing this steel wait to learn the outcome of this inquiry before consummating any deal you might be thinking about.

If we had any doubt about the nature of this this For Sale thread, that should be gone now. Here is Daniel Stein's for sale thread from 12/1/23 for the same exact guitar -
https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=396347
and the link to his facebook marketplace ad which has the exact same photos here -
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/677259647869137/?mibextid=6ojiHh
Obviously, Mark was no longer with us when this sold, so he (or his family) cannot possibly own this guitar.
I'm leaving this up for now just in case anybody is still thinking about purchasing this steel. But it is closed, and you should not deal with whomever has control of the Mark Draycott account. |
