I've got over 200 songs arranged for lap steel. However, due to a demanding day job and the daily care of my mom (who has advanced dementia), I've not had the time to record.

I can crank out an arrangement pretty fast - usually in 10 - 15 minutes. Yesterday I was able to arrange 3 tunes: When I Fall In Love, Fire and Rain (with the guitar intro transcribed note-for-note), and Galveston. But finding time to record is another story.

Hopefully, I'll find the time at some point. Anyone else challenged to find the time to plow the lap steel field?

Here is one I was able to record:

One more I forgot about - just jamming on my StringMaster....

Recorded on my phone. Playing over a backing track I found on YouTube. Plugged my StringMaster into a Fractal FX-III.

I can relate David! I bought a Tascam digital recorder a year ago and recorded a couple quick tunes, lap steel and ukulele and guitar. You can hear the dogs and the kid in the background. Haven’t had any time to work on more songs since. I like your folder, seems pretty organized I think I’ll do something similar. It’s really hard to stay focused on recording and learning songs when you only have a few minutes a day. Real life is pretty damn intrusive!
