After a long absence I am back in the steel guitar game, and it’s good to be back! I got this Rickenbacker seven string steel and I’m looking for more information about it. I know the hardware has something to do with which model it is, I don’t think it’s a standard silver Hawaiian. I also need to know if anybody repairs the tuners for these as the original tuners have some slippage issues. I don’t want to replace the tuners as everything is original on the guitar. It also seems to have a bad tone cap. Not quite sure how I’m gonna handle that. It’s a very bright sounding guitar and it could use a little mellowing. Anyway I look forward to any comments and all the information I can get.

Looking forward to seeing the pictures. I’ve never seen a 7 string Silver Hawaiian.

That's a G Deluxe. I had a 1951 8 string G Deluxe for many years. Had to sell it along with my 2 Stringmasters a few years back to pay medical bills. I was suicidal about it but it had to be done. The G Deluxe sounds amazing. The closest thing to it currently being made is the 8 string metal body Clinesmith like what Mike Neer plays.
