I just purchased a Boss DD-3 Digital Delay effects pedal. I play a lap steel guitar and do not use a volume pedal. How do I hook it up to my Quilter TT-12 combo amp? I will also need to know how many cables are required to complete the hook up. Thanks

Two choices. The simple way (that I prefer) and the 'more correct' way that is a litle fussier.

One cable from the guitar to the input of the Boss (so make as long or as short as you plan your set up to be -- if the Boss is on the floor at your feet, you just need a 3 or 4 foot cord) and one cable from the Boss output into the input of the Quilter.

-or-

One cable from the guitar to the input of the Quilter. One cable from the FX Send jack to the Boss input. One cable from the Boss output to the FX Return jack. The cables' length depends on how near or far you are going to be to the amp.

I'd use the F/X loop with double 1/4" cables. Used to do that with my 112 and DD-6 Sounded just a little cleaner than having everything in line.
