Now that I'm back at the steel, I've added some things to my equipment-the Jackson Blackjack Custom, Peavey amplifier, Goodrich volume pedal, Out West pac-a-seat are still there. I now use National fingerpicks and National thumbpick-my recent gear consists of three things-my new Ezzee Slide bar, a pick/bar holder, and I now have a Goodrich volume pedal bracket! In the 24 years I've been playing steel, I never thought of using a volume pedal bracket, but it works great for me because I can easily adjust volume without having to use knobs on my Nashville 112, and my new Ezzee Slide tone bar works really well! I love playing steel even more now because of these things! |

When I started playing (ten years ago now!) I tried various picks but I finally settled on Nationals. They just feel right and I never think about them, which surely proves something.
I also acquired a Goodrich pedal as a backup to my powered ones. I've tested it on a gig and I can barely tell any difference in that situation. There are certain products that have stood the test of time.
Glad you're enjoying yourself, Brett _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!
