This band is from Houston.

They give this Brooks & Dunn tune a bit of a Norteño flair.

Nice cover version overall. The band has a good sound but the drummer and accordion players are a little too busy in this song for my taste.

That is a nice looking acoustic 12 string the lead singer has. The audio doesn't sound like a 12 string but more like a 6 string.

I was thrilled to see the drummer's Ludwig red lacquer drum kit as it is similar to the first kit I had in the sixties. My kit was called the "Club Date". The kit was smaller lacking the larger mounted tom, one cymbal and had a smaller floor tom.

The 12-string guitar is called a bajo sexto. It is a very common instrument in conjúnto and Norteño music. Lots of duos consisting of button accordion and bajo sexto. The musician playing the bajo sexto carries the bass, chords, and rhythm.

Here is a good example:

Lee, Thanks for posting that , I love it, I'm a big accordion fan and I thought it was really good. Was always a fan of Ponty Bone with Joe Ely, to me its real Texas country!
