I can’t speak for where you are but most music shops sell single strings. This is your best option if you only want one. Otherwise one of the many online stores or those specialising in strings such as https://www.stringsandbeyond.com

Jagwire sells a Ricky Davis artist series nickel E9th set that has a wound .22 6th string. I've been very happy with their strings.

Order it from SIT directly. Build your own set or order them separately. They have super fast service and reasonable prices.

A word of Warning. When you change the 6th string from .020 Plain to .022 Wound string you may need to make some changes to the Pulls on the 6th string.

When you find a source for Wound 6th strings, Or sets with Wound 6th strings in them. Get say 1/2 dozen Wound strings or sets With wound 6th strings.

Do not move the stop on the B pedal, The Stop on the B pedal is set by the .011 or .012 3rd string. If the guitar has a Double tree bar to pull 3-6 together you may be able to change with no under guitar adjustment.

Most Plain 6th strings are .020 diameter, Most Wound .022 strings has a core of about .012 with winding of .05 X 2 = .022 wound string.

So it takes a longer pull to tune 6th Wound string to G#. Moving the pull rod 1 hole in the Bell Crank, Farther from the Cross Rod, From its present position in the Bell Crank may be enough. If not enough pull, Move rod pull out 2 holes away from Cross Shaft, From present Bell Crank hole.

Good Luck in getting things set up, Happy Steelin.

I like the sound and feel of a wound 6th string. However if you lower it G#-F# on a knee you may encounter difficulty depending on what guitar you have. Some flat won’t drop it a full step. Many modern ones will.
