Someone's listed a "console steel guitar" on UK eBay which is actually a pedal steel, but an eight string one. No maker's name that I can see. Any idea what it is?

I wonder how it ended up crossing the Atlantic? Doesn't sound as though there are many of them around.

May have been brought to England by someone in US Air Force, When stationed there. Many music instruments travel with the men and women in military service.
