Hi All,

Jerry Sentell could probably do a custom wind for you. He does good work and is fast. Talk to him. https://www.sentellpickups.net/steel
If you can move the Alumitone further from the strings you might like the results. They are great pickups but they don’t behave the same way as traditional ones.

Or you can try an Alumitone X-Bar pickup, @ 2.4k.

My suggestion is to contact Scott at Steeltronics. He has studied on steel guitar pickups and has produced clones of some popular ones and improvements on others and can work with you to figure out what you do & don't want.

I second Jon Light. Scott is making three 14 string pick-ups for my Sierra Stafford Elegante and 2 for my MSA 12 string Legend. The MSA pick-up I previously ordered from him is really slick! I haven't seen the Sierras yet but he said that he has made them in the past for a 14 string he used to own. Super nice guy! Fair prices too! IMHO

Good Luck!
