Yep, I get a kick out of Mark's playing. Great and fun chops. I've been following him on YouTube for a while, now.

I agree, he's a very good player! He has a good imagination, and a great command of the instrument. He has a style and originality that's seldom heard these days. IMHO, too many players now are overly concerned with adding levers and gizmos to add variety and improve their playing, rather than looking to first find all they're missing with what they already have.

Worried you don't sound like the pros? Probably 90% of your problem can be found between the seat and the steel. Rarely will it be found in a new amp or knee lever change, or in some other dingus or box. I've seen dozens and dozens of players try to "buy" the sound. And for the vast majority, it just doesn't work.
