Few weeks ago Russ interviewed Steve Hinson on the Steel Guitar Arts Council. It's better than butter on toast.

I watched the interview a couple weeks ago. Indeed - some great stories from Steve, and often hilarious!

Outstanding interview. Great stuff! Nice to finally put a face to one frequent Forum commentator whose expert answers, insights, and opinions are revered by this Forumite. Thank you, Steve Hinson.

One question from one ex-Twin Cities guy to another: Russ, how long did it take you to develop that Nashville twang in your speech? You sure don't sound "Minnesotan" anymore!

I recall in an interview with Russ that he moved to Nashville around 1985, so he’s pushing 40 years now in Tennessee.

And when he goes shopping at the department store with the big red bull’s eye logo he probably doesn’t pronounce it “Terget” anymore. Winking

Everyone I knew back there pronouced it "Tar-zhay." As a side note, when I was in high school, I had a job working in the snack bar at Target #4 in Bloomington, MN. I loathed the place. Quit to go on the road with a rock'n'roll band...

Great interview with two guys that know the business from serving on the front lines. Great players. I really enjoyed this.

Great interview with my dear friend and excellent musician!
Steve is a Nashville staple musician and deservedly so. Not only does he play beautiful pedal steel and know it’s history , but also a slide guitar master.
Great interview . Russ Pahl knows who to call and is a talented fella as well!
