This is a bit premature as I don't actually have it yet.

Bill Rudolph kindly sent me this photo (at my request) while they wait for a delivery of cases. No word yet on when I'll have it but I'm delighted with its appearance.

8+6 D13th/SD-12.

That's a looker Roger. I love Royal Blue as a colour for a pedal steel cabinet.

Nice Roger! I just got a wide body S12 a few months ago. You'll be astounded at the sound and clarity of the new changer, especially in the lower register. Great choice of Alumitone pickup too!

Roger, that is a stunningly beautiful guitar. I have a Williams SD-10 and plan to upgrade to a Williams SD-12 at some point. Would you mind posting your codpedant for us?
Thanks.

Thanks for everyone's nice comments.

The jury will remain 'out', however, until I sit down behind a 12-string after so long with my D-10.

The hurdles I face won't be anything to do with the workmanship in this guitar, of that I'm pretty sure. Smile

I will spend time with the setup before making any changes; stuff that looks good on paper (to me) might be open to alteration.

I'll post my setup once I've lived with it a while. Smile

Roger that is one beautiful Maple Blue Lacquer Finish guitar.

Only when it becomes an "Open Case" in Naples Florida, Will Roger become a Happy Camper.

Good Luck in this project, Happy Steelin.

That's gorgeous......I love the Williams keyless system....it is such a breeze to change strings because you do not have to wrap the string.....just pull it tight by hand in a straight line and tighten down the tuning nut.....on my 8 string Williams I have a .080 as my bottom string and the tuning nut holds it down with a deathlike grip.......

Not that one, I’m talking about the pickups in the red Williams in Bills pic.

Hey Roger, I would like to talk to Bill Williams. Because He sold a lot of his guitars in our 1997 and 1998 Conventions. Do you how I can find him? Thanks,

C.

Carl

Did you mean Bill Rudolph rather than Williams.

Bill and his son Tim build the Williams steels and Bill R. Is always very accessible by phone.
