Not many made but I'm hoping someone on the forum has one they don't use. I have Eharps but the Gibson has slightly wider string spacing for my fat fingers.

ES-185s are spendy. A 10-string would be beaucoup bucks, if you could ever even find one.

Have you considered a RAM Speakeasy? Ron builds wonderful Gibson-esque instruments. He may consider making a 10-string (?). Wouldn't hurt to call him.

There was one on eBay,starting bid $2500, a few months ago but it was quickly pulled off eBay as someone probably offered more (off eBay) or he decided to keep it. I would have bid at least 3k. Maybe the owner of one would be wanting to trade for a 1966 Deluxe Reverb...The Ram Gibsonish lap steels look great but I'm stuck on the Gibson.

Understood. As a die-hard Gibson guy, I had coveted a 10-string Century for years. When I finally scored one, I found the string spacing so narrow that I could hardly play it. After spending its time in a rifle bag for years without ever coming out of the closet (the guitar, not me -- I'm straight), I finally opted to peddle it. Good luck in your quest!

I had read about the narrow spacing of the Century. The EH-185 10 string is slightly wider than 3/8" which is the widest 10 string spacing i'm aware of. The Eharp spacing is 3/8". The Eharp Deluxe w/2 pickups (reverse wound) and 4 legs is really nice. The Epiphone and Valco Eharp lap steels are both really nice with the Epi sounding a bit "clearer" and the Valco sounding a bit colored in a good way. The Valco Eharp single pickup console with 3 legs is my least favorite tonewise but is still good and affordable.
