I could not find a clear wiring diagram for installing the Dunlop Hot Potz ll potentiometers in a volume pedal, so I made these.

The older, round Dunlop pots...

I revised the diagram a bit, mainly to show the round pot oriented the way it should be physically installed--because some volume pedals, like the Emmons pedal, may not have enough clearance for the wires to cross over each other.
I hope this revised drawing gives a better idea of what angle to solder the wires onto those little soldering pins on the round Dunlop pots.

The newer, rectangular Dunlop pots...

Obviously, you can use whatever color wire that you want; I used the same colors that Dunlop used in their diagrams for consistency.

TIP: I have found it useful to orient the input and output jacks so that the inside of the tip prong (shown in orange on the diagram) faces the floor, in case I need to de-oxidize it with a Q-tip and a drop or two of contact cleaner or alcohol.

I hope you find these diagrams helpful.

(Thanks to Jim Palenscar for clarifying which lug was which for the newer rectangular Dunlop pots; I eventually found the "official" Dunlop wiring diagram with Google, and Jim had it exactly right!)

Belated thank you for these diagrams Dave!

Has anyone detected an audible difference between the round and newer rectangular versions? Is the taper the same?
