I just got this Pro III and noticed this bracket on the underside. Anyone know what it's for? There are pull rods going to the lowering portion of the changer on strings 4 6 and 8

My guess is to keep the pull rods separated, stable and true...keep them from rattling around. Looks like there are attachments on the under side of that bracket to do that. |

Is there something under the top of that bracket that is holding the rods/rod running through?? what does it look like? I'd have to see that and see more where the rods are coming from and going to? It it homemade; but the person had some idea what he wanted to do; but I can't see enough of that, it is doing.

Perhaps it's a fixed bracket to attach rods to, that are used as compensators. It appears the rods have a 90 degree bend and are affixed to the bracket. My best guess... |

Yes the 3 nuts that can be seen are screwed onto pull rods that bend and go to the changer lowering fingers on strings 4, 6, and 8 _________________ The sticker makes it sound better |

Looking very close, The bottom and top rods are seen on left side and disappear under the bar. Those nuts have the wrinkles and looks of Ny-Lock nuts, So they will not vibrate loose. |

What Mike said . If there is rubber washers on the inside of the nylon tuners it's definantly compensators. _________________ Emmons SKH Le Grande, '73 Fender P/J bass, Tick tack bass, Regal high strung, USA Nashville 112. |
