I’m retired now, and have plenty of time on my hands, and less money. I’m getting back into steel guitar again, on a budget. I’ve been looking at amps and have zeroed in on a Fender Champion 40. It has a 12†Fender Speaker, Aux in, and Headphone out jacks. The price New is reasonable, and I can buy it local or get free shipping. This will be used mainly in my office in the back of the house, maybe elsewhere eventually. Have any of y’all used one of these for PSG? Thanks. _________________ Steeless. |

I would also like to know. Does the Champion 40 have adequate headroom and and usable reverb? _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

I played my Show-Pro Lloyd Green through a Fender Champion 40 with replacement Eminence 12" speaker in church recently and it sounded "Heavenly"! Use it for all rehearsals and some polite volume gigs and recording. My JBL 135W Twin Reverb is officially " retired" like me. Most band gigs I rely on '65 Deluxe Reverb re-issue with aJBL. Everybody still plays too dang loud!!! _________________ Retired my "Flying Pro III" playin' gigs with the "little bud" in the Northern Shenandoah Valley. |
