A classic by one of America’s greatest composers, Edward MacDowell, published 1890.
I recorded the melody first with straight steel and then broke out the Ebow, which you see in this video. In mixing the track, I decided to try both in the mix, which is what you hear. Kind of haunting sound.
I was describing my latest project to my wife as “a rock and roll band decides they want to play classical music.” Simple as that.

for the sake of us off-grid luddites, perhaps a brief description of what an "elbow" is would be appropriate, if you please. thanks in advance. _________________ The mainland is intimidating, bewildering, and uncomfortable. And you have to wear shoes. -- Theroux. |

Kirk, an Ebow is a handheld battery-operated device that stimulates the string it is positioned over to have infinite sustain. E for energy, and of course bow. If you watch the video you can see it in my right hand. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |
