Curious how many of y’all use a .15 for your E string?
I’m a c-pedal addict and I’m always wanting a more robust sound from that string.

I like a 15 on 4. It works just fine there. Main thing for me is less of the zing in that position. Several players use a .015...NYXL med ga. set uses a .015 for #4.

There is a reason Paul Franklin went to a .015p for the 4th string E on E9 neck, and I wanted to know why; so I put one on and WALA, I love it....more sustain; raises and lowers a smidge quicker; stays in tune longer; blends with other strings around it(.012p; .018p) much better; Well I can still go on and on; but if you EVER wonder about changing something on your steel to try> JUST TRY IT; then you'll know for your own self.

I started using .15 strings on 4. Also went to
11.5 on string 3.

Yep, if it's bigger and works better, it's good!

(Same reason I use a .024w for the 6th string.)
