I may be wrong, but it seems most of the slide players striving for a "swampy" tone look like they'd smell of beer and cigarettes, and just got out of jail.
I'd like to see a slide/steel player talk about his "swampy" tone while wearing a tux.
I guess I need more to think about... _________________ https://www.MasterGuitarists.com/ |

If you are able to remember the notes of your open D tuning (actually pitched halfway between C# and D… at least on some strings) or even slightly LOOK like you might be able to, you ain’t gonna have no swamp feel.
You also gotta to play with a brass slide meant for armpit guitar.
Any out of tune chords and notes is just the blues, man |

A good hat or vest is a must, too, with your brass armpit slide. Shirt not required (unless you look like me, and no one wants to see that) _________________ Santo Fan Club - from the island of Coney to the sands of Rockaway
