I see three scenarios for these pickups ...

1) 6 stringers into Rickenbachers w/o their horseshoes (several on Reverb)

2) 8 stringers are designed to drop into JB frypans (Excel or Shobud)

3) New builds where routing isn't an issue 🧐

I've got 2 postwar Rickys with them (one with the surround modified and one where I took the surround off ) ... a '35 Bakelite with a set ... and a unit in an 8 string Sho-Bud JB frypan ...
