My friend has asked that I help sell this lapsteel for him. It is a 7 stringer and made from aluminum.

From what I can figure out, this was built by a builder in the Northwest who is no longer actively building. Online,I saw a few Frypan style guitars he had built, but that is about it.

Any ideas/info about it, and also what a fair asking price would be?

Thanks

***The colored markings are grease pencil he used to help navigate the fretboard, and is easily removable.***

Wayne Johnson is the builder.
I just ordered an aluminum bar from him a couple weeks ago.

If you do a Forum "Search" you will find a number of correspondences by him over the years.

Couldn't help but notice the strings wound under the tuner instead of over. Wayne made a couple bars for me that my son ordered as a gift.

If you are referring to the first photo, I believe that is the back of the guitar!

I have two of his fying pans with alumitone deathbucker. Amazing clarity and sustain like nothing I ever had.

I reworked this guitar a bit and made it more functional. it sounds really good, particularly on the bridge pickup.
