I normally use Audacity to change tempo, but lately the result hasnt sounded all that good. I was wondering what you guys recommend to do this...specifically I have a mp3 backing track that I like, but it is too fast for me and would like to slow it down without changing the pitch.
Thanks in advance for your help. _________________ Zum Encore, Remington D8 non pedal, Hallmark Mosrite clone, Gretsch 6120 DSW, Gretsch G5210T-P90 Electromatic Jet Two 90,1976 Ibanez L5, Eastman archtop, Taylor Dreadnaught, Telonics pedal, Squire Tele, Squire Strat, Fender Tonemaster, Gold Tone 5 string banjo, Little Wonder tenor banjo, 3 Roland cubes 30s and 80, Carvin combo bass amp |

Larry,
Many DAW or transcription software packages offer tempo change although many rely on the same product. Cubase, Ableton Live, Cakewalk by Bandlab, Reaper and Band-in-a-Box license élastique Pro V3 which is developed by Zplane Development of Germany.
Zplane also offers élastique Pro as a standalone product: https://products.zplane.de/products/elastiquepitch/ _________________ Remembering Harold Fogle (1945-1999) Pedal Steel Player

I use Amazing Slow Downer, not free, but works great for me. Let's me set start and stop points to learn licks. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) .
