I recently came across a vinyl LP of Jeff Newman's "Music to Get C6th By"and bought it.
But I can't find the tab anywhere. Fran no longer sells it.
Anyone have a copy of this tab?
It's my understanding that there is a 5-song version of this course and a complete 10-song version; I would be happy to get my hands on whatever I could.
Happy to pay for it; would of course pay Fran also, as per forum policy, (and because it's the right thing to do) if someone has a copy.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

This C6th course was the break through for me on C6th. Of course, it's been 35+ years or so and I don't remember what I did with the course. Probably gave it away. I purchased it to learn "Hold It" and wound up with more C6th than I was expecting. Excellent course, along with the "Sho-Bud" 33 Lp instruction course for E9th back then. |

I bought one of those from Jeff in July 1970. I was in Nashville and picked it up at his home. I think I still have all the tabs, but can't be positive.
If someone else doesn't come up with them, I'll check tomorrow and see what I have. |

It looks like you have this coming your way. Just need to let me know if you still need it.
The contribution to Fran is a great idea.

Hey guys, thanks for the generous responses.
Howard, please check your PM's.
Bud and Jack, thanks for your generous offers; if things don't fall into place I'll take you up on them.
Mike, will send you a PM; happy to do some sharing.
I've done a lot more C6 in the past few years, my teacher is the other John Ely (recently inducted into the Texas Steel Guitar Hall of Fame) who played for AATW.
But I'vd always liked Jeff's instruction materials, and Jeff himself, and would like to work through this course. Plus, this course is part of the historical contribution to the field of PSG; it's good to keep it alive and available.
Thanks again guys.

Posted 9 Jun 2014 12:45 pm Anyone convert the Vinyl to CD?
|
|
I have the original 33-1/3 album. Anybody converted this to CD and willing to share?
A contribution to Fran would be appropriate, too.

Sorry to revive such an old thread, but I also just got a copy of this on vinyl and would love to get a hold of the corresponding instructional materials. If anyone knows where to locate them or has a copy for sale please let me know.
Cheers. |
