Try this chart here. This is from the old Carter website that has been maintained here after they closed up. There's a lot of other good stuff on these pages. Good luck.

What you described is pretty close to what came from the Carter factory (except string 1 goes to G# instead of G... maybe you can just turn the nylon tuning nut to get it to G#?).

From the same site Jerry gave you is this page:

Good luck.

I was starting to write instructions but I realized that I can't do better than the instructions from the Carter manual in the graphic. Tune the 2nd string lower to C# on the finger circled in red. Then adjust the half stop tuner so that it engages when you hear the D note. It is a feel stop.

Hi Jon...Im I reading this right....if I wanted to have my pedals smother ( I mean I havent got to put put much force in to pressing the pedals down ) I would put the rod higher up on the bell shank.? ( my foot dosent work like it used to) that why I changed it around in the first place...I supposed ill get used to useing it

while Im posting if you wouldent mind an other question
The holes in the changer would it make a defiance what hole I put the rod in..Thank you for all your help so far

that explains a lot of things..Its the other way round from what I was thinking it was so helpfull
All I need now is to find some 3/32 stainless steel and
it like looking for rocking hose pop in the UK to get it back to how it was..the nearest I can get is 2mm and it a hassel geting the nylon tuning to fit..and welding rod the nearest is 2.4mm...I used the 2mm for now

Its been a great help with you drawing's Thank you for sparing you time Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
