I have a jammed tuner on my William's string 10. Hard to get in there to replace- what size is this nut? Seems my 3/8 is too small and 7/16 is too big.

My metric ratchets aren't deep enough to try.

Any other tool recommendations?

10mm most likely....common size for tuning machines. I have a set of old craftsman ignition wrenches that works on those nuts.

Thanks Jerry, makes sense I guess. I'll see if there's anything friendly for tight spots at the hardware store in a bit.

I added to my first post that those craftsman ignition wrenches work good on those nuts. You'll need the box end 10mm as I recall. I think Lowes has them.

I got these from Stew Mac and use them specifically for tuners. Yes, 10mm on my Williams. They get into the tight spot better than anything else I've got on hand.
