OK so I ordered an HWP pickup from Mullen, to replace the E-66 it came with. The E-66 mounts with three screws; the mullen seems to JUST be the pickup with no actual mounting ring or plate... I have not yet gotten the pickup in the mail so I am trying to anticipate.
How is the HWP pickup attached to the guitar if there are no screws to hold it down?
TIA and I hope my question isn't as stupid as some I've asked on here.

I did the same thing with a 97 Mullen that had GL PFs a few years back. As I recall, the Mullen s/c mounted straight to the wood body, no plate, with springs under the screws for adjustment. I just used the springs and screws already there.
I might be wrong about springs on second thought. I'm looking to see if I have any pics from back then.
If you have concerns or need the springs, I agree contacting Mike at the Mullen Co.
BTW, you are going to love these HWPs over those GLs. |
