Model 386K Troubadour. According to the 1941 catalog it has a 26" scale.

Very cool! MOTS steels are under the radar. Many of them sound great.

Pickup under the MOTS? I like the design of that bridge. And strings through the body? Those old Dickersons have a rippin' tone!

The Oahu amp is beautiful. Looks like the 1940s table radio my grandma had sitting on top of her "ice box" tuned to The Good Neighbor WCCO-AM for well over a half-century. Never missed a Twins game.

Yes, the amp is gorgeous. It's very hard to find a matching set like this in such pristine condition. Sellers often break up the set and sell the amp separately, unfortunately.

Very nice! How does it sound? I'm not familiar with the pick-up design and tone?
Are there any Dick McIntire recordings?
How would you compare the tone with maybe a Rickenbacher? Cool

It doesn't arrive till Friday ... Confused

As far as the pickup, etc .... my kids got me a prewar "Tulip" Dickerson for Christmas ... it needed work and I made a SGF post about it ... includes a sound sample (albeit recorded on my iPhone)

https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=397021

I love the tone ... not as much output as a Rickenbacher ... but a very pleasing tone ...

🤠

My green student model Dickerson/Magnatone w/hidden pickup has a lot of bite.

I played it in this video:

It arrived safely ... it's beautiful, I've never had a vintage "museum" quality guitar before ... 25.5" scale, sparkly raised fretboard, fancy case, beautiful tone ... I'll try and get a tune recorded in the next few days ...

Sweet! The bodies look really sleek with the pickups hidden and so much MOTS covering the area.
