I think I was misled on the "value' of this guitar. I will drop the price to $3500.00 plus shipping
I am selling my 1931 National Style 2 Squareneck Tricone, Serial # 2488. It is in very good condition. I bought it in 2001 from Dreamcatcher Guitars in Roswell, Georgia and was told at the time that it was originally owned by a lady who got it from her music teacher when she was 12 years old, and it stayed under her bed for 60 years. I had no way of substantiating this when I bought it, but that is the story.
The guitar is in very nice shape with minor corrosion on the coverplate and very few dings. In September 2014, I sent it to National Resophonic in SLO for polishing and repairing the start of a minor seam separation on the bass side near the tailpiece. Jason Workman made the repair. I have the original cones for the guitar, but since at one time, I was experimenting with differnt tunings, I installed new cones from NRP in the off-chance that I would damage a cone. I will include the originals, shipped separately. It is currently strung with light gauge strings for High Bass A tuning and comes in a hardshell case.
I still play my Style 3 squareneck and want to find this one a good home. I am asking $5300.00 plus shipping.
