Yes I found that! It had moved and I’m a tech idiot so I couldn’t find it but I have it now. I can’t get the 3rd fret harmonics tho. Or any harmonics to sustain but working on that… _________________ Emmons PP, Mullen G2 and Discovery |

Try using a fuzz-tone, or a lot of overdrive. That gives you lots of sustain, and emphasizes the overtones. Whenever I was trying to tune in a high noise environment, I’d turn on my Bosstone, and that made it a lot easier to hear the beats.
Also, I’ve found the harmonic at the 3rd fret may be easier to sound if you strike the harmonic just slightly past the 3rd fret. |

Buddy Emmons had a harmonic tune up method at one point. Not sure if you can still get that or not |

When tuning by ear, remember for equal tempered scale, 5ths are slightly narrower than pure, 4ths slightly wider, major 3rds are very narrower and minor thirds are wider than pure harmonics. _________________ Sierra U12 4+5 / 1933 Dobro / homemade Tele B-bender |
