I just got a used Sierra Pedal Steel guitar and have never played before. The parts are all here but it's coming out of the amp at a very low frequency no matter how I turn to knobs. Also missing two strings. I'd like to have it set up by someone who knows more than I do. Is there anywhere in Westchester/NYC that I can bring this thing to get me started on my journey?

Some Sierra Steels have a tone knob on the body or endplate.
Maybe that is turned all the way to the Bass end?
Can you post some pics of the Steel and other equipment you are using?
Do you know which model it is?
Trying to help.
I played Sierras for years but have not heard of this symptom.
