| Mine is 1981, no question. It has the white lettering with no black background. Ask Bruce. Maybe he just used what he had laying about, picked at random. |

Is it possible the red on the SD10 is a vinyl overlay and that it was originally black?

I defer to Bruce but I've seen the black background decal on various year models in the 80s.
My '81 had the white one same as Barry's so..... |
