Hi all -

For quite awhile now I’ve been repairing the Dual Pro 8 string Trapezoids. In addition, I’ve also done the boxcars. Up until now I have not had any requests to repair the 6 string version. In the last few months I had a few people reach out wanting their 6 string traps repaired. I now have 6 string bobbins and have started making the 6 string traps. Just wanted to let everyone know that this is now an option that I am offering. You can reach me here or through my website for details on the process.

Thanks !

- NF

Just a note to say, if somehow you don't know Nick, or his reputation, I can't recommend him highly enough. Just did a set of traps for my '53 Dual 8 Pro and I couldn't be happier.

I had only had my Deluxe 6 for a month when the 1st and 2nd strings started a rattly buzzing noise which spread to the rest of the strings quite quickly. I contacted Ric Aiello who has recently rebuilt my 7 string Bakelite pickup and he referred me to Nick Fryer. What Nick did is pretty much made a new pickup. It measures 9.3K and sounds just like it did before. Has the scratchy, edgyness I just love about this guitar and sort of in your face but to me much warmer than my stringmaster was. There seems to be a bit more presence than it had but once again it is not brittle or hard sounding. Great job Nick. Happy Trails
