Tommy is the voice coil 4 or 8ohm? The tag on the speaker may not be correct if it’s been re-coned.

It is definitely 16ohms the dc resistance will measure 2 to 3 ohms less than the impedance example a 8 ohm will read approx 6ohms a 4ohm approx 3ohms hope this helps
