Ernie Renn and I are putting together a list of Buddy Emmons' "body of work" and want to include everything that exists that he created including: courses, interviews, letters and any writings.

If you know of additions to the list below, please let me know. We would also like good crips scans of his Guitar Player magazine "Workshops."

Here is what we already have. If anyone knows of other things, please alert me (tommybradshaw@gmail.com)

BE-2 E9th Chord Vocabulary - Tablature & Cassette

BE-15 Steel Guitar Christmas Sounds – E9th & C6th – Tablature & Cassette
BE-16 Ten Songs On The E9th – Tablature & LP Record
BE-17 Blues to Use” – C6th – Tablature & Cassette
BE-18 Tabs of "licks, riff’s & runs” from Ernie Renn’s website.
[Note: See additions that follow.]

I'm including the book written by Steve Fishell, even though Buddy didn't write it, but it has a lot of his writing in it. Once the list is deemed complete, we will post it on the Forum

Following this project, I intend to create a list of all the instrumental tunes that Buddy ever recorded (a much larger project!). ...Tom

After just a quick look, I see you might be missing the white LP: "Get In Tune With Buddy Emmons" on the Emmons label. I will dig out my copy over the weekend and proceed from there. Also, I will see what else I might have in terms of Emmons's authored works.

I got ALL the Swing Shift SOR stuff from CDs (original record and rhythm tracks in mp3 and matching PDF scans I did from originals.

I don't know if I am fine to send it digitally to you. Is the copyright extinct?

What is the intent? Will it become public domain?

Answers to above questions:

1. I'm not needing any of Buddy's recordings. I'm making a LIST (only) of all of them, as well as each individual tune he ever recorded.

2. Some of Buddy's instructional materials are available to purchase. As soon as I get the titles and where to purchase them, I'll post it here.

3. All I'm looking for at this point is identifying what exists of his written instructional (or informational) materials that may exist.

4. Since I posted this yesterday, I've added:

BE-17 "Blues to Use” – C6th – Tablature & Cassette
BE-18 "Tabs of licks, riff’s & Runs” from Ernie Renn’s website
BE-19 “Get In Tune With Buddy Emmons” – LP & Instructions

I am including Steve Fishell's book (Buddy Emmons, Steel Guitar Icon), even though Buddy didn’t write it. But, it has a lot of his writing quoted in it.

I look forward to more information and questions. ...Tom

The april 1973 edition of Guitar player volume 7 number 3, features on page 28 an index of the first six years, naming all the workshops written by Buddy. That very edition the workshop was taken over by a guy called Tom Bradshaw so it is save to think that you have that edition somewhere in your archive. I have written you a mail through the forum about sending you a few of those workshops.

Hi Tom,

Of course feel free to use any of the info and listings from the "International Steel Guitar Discography." The Eighth Edition from 1997 (red cover) is the last and most complete version.
