This 1953 Fender was stolen from my friend’s Bob Bakers pickup in Plainview Texas Saturday night. Unfortunately he does not know the serial number. It’s a 3 leg, where most are 4 leg, i’m being told. It was in a gray case & could have been mistaken for a rifle case; as they moved the amp to get to it. Please keep an eye peeled. Would really like to bring this one home.
God bless
Baxter

You might want to post this in the "Steel Without Pedals" forum as well.

I am looking for this exact model guitar - it is a Fender Professtional D8. I will keep my eye out for it.

Does it have any identifiable marks on it? Does he have a photo of the gun case?

Make sure that the police know about it and I'd let every pawn shop in a 100 mile radius know as well.

Good luck!

Also, I am told that ALL Profesional D8 guitars were made with 3 legs. See:
