Recorded live recently at AJ's Good Time Bar in Nashville.
Eddie Lange on pedal steel guitar
Kevin Key on lead guitar
Mike Bourque on bass (he's also a great pedal steel guitarist, by the way)
Robbie Muzick is the featured artist. He is also a great guitarist.
Eddie and Kevin work so well together. Their harmonized leads are just stunning.
Over 3 hours of great country music. Almost all songs are pre-1995.
My wife and I cast these shows to our television and crank it up!
Eddie makes it look so easy. On a couple of tunes, I heard him sneak in the signature lick from "She's Actin' Single", just to see if anyone is paying attention, probably.
Yes, there is country music in Nashville. What an outstanding mix of musicians.

Thanks for sharing! About a month ago they streamed that same line-up except Tyler Hall in the steel seat. That was a great show, too! |

Thanks for the link. I streamed it to my tv and watched it all. Great group of musicians. Eddie was living in my area for a while. I got to enjoy his playing up close. He's incredible. |

As you watch them play a 3 hour show, keep in mind that that is just a fraction of the songs those guys know.
And Mike and Kevin sing, too!

Yes that is a Barrel Tuning "PRO~II" Tom is playing as I did that one for him at least 15 years ago; he loves it so much; he hasn't touched All his Emmons' guitars since I sent him that PRO~II. Sounds great; but Nashville has LOOONG forgotten that the Vocal and "Defining country instrument, Pedal Steel Guitar" should be the OUT-front in Sound;...ah...ha.

After seeing this post last month I went to YouTube to check Tuesday nights out. Wow...So much to say about those guys. Absolutely the tastiest commercial playing I've heard in a long time. I look forward to each song just to see what vintage signature licks Eddie and Kevin incorporate into the least suspected places. Licks from Eddy Raven, Gary Stuart, Bobby Bare, Ronnie Milsap, Jeanie Pruett - interspersed into other songs. Last Tuesday I predicted a 3 chord "cajun" ending to "Louisiana Saturday Night" and was happy to be correct. Eddie is becoming my favorite, as he truly owns everything he plays. He seems to have an endless supply of licks that work so well. He can emulate the original players, but has his own cool styling. Mike Bourque plays bass like a boss and plays all the cool licks.
About four years ago I had a "pick" at my house with 9 guys I invited. Two of them I play with regularly, the others once or twice previously, but first time for us all to play together. Prior to that evening I told everyone to be thinking of songs but nothing newer than 1997! I had looked back at Billboard Charts and determined where it went to hell. I was tickled to find these guys at AJ's...great combination! _________________ Best lyric in a country song: "...One more, Moon..."

Not sure how I missed this the first time around but Lee, thank you! Absolutely top notch, and I'm only 1 hour into the link in the first post. _________________ Many play better than I do. Nobody has more fun. |

Love these Nashville live streams. Seems like so many of the best acts are smaller honky tonkers these days. Dee's Country Cocktail Lounge does a great stream as well on youtube. |

Pretty amazing what he can do with just three pedals, isn't it? I watched a show where Mike was playing with Redd Volkeart, at an outdoor gig, and I'm pretty sure he never touched a knee lever, yet what he plays is all great. Just a great musician on multiple instruments. I would love to pick his brain sometime! |

I agree about today's Nashville sound. It's been going that way gradually since the 80's.
