Brand new Caladesi Deluxe Steel Console 8-string steel guitar. The scale is 23.5 inch (best of both worlds). The nut and bridge are solid brass and embedded into the body of the guitar for enhanced sustain and beautiful sound. String spacing is 3/8" at the bridge and 11/32 inch at the nut. It has high-end electronics and a flame maple wood fretboard with real Gold Mother of Pearl fret markers. The pickup is a Lace Alumitone Tonebar which has a great, clear, true hi-fidelity pickup. It provides extended bandwidth to faithfully reproduce the natural tone of the instrument. This instrument has resonance in abundance. The guitar comes with three legs and includes a hard-shell case. | No worries Rickey. Actually you have pushed me to do what I have been needing to do for a long time. I have a sound clip of one of my Stringmaster builds and I’m going to try to add that to the sound clip (with video) of this guitar so people can compare. Instead of saying this black guitar with the alumitone is “the best sounding guitar I have made,” I should have said that it has the sound I prefer. Sound is a personal thing and there is no such thing as the best sound— instead there are preferred sounds. I will say that the reason I like the sound of this guitar is because of the amazing amount resonance it has. But, I’ll hopefully get the video done today and posted on the forum. |
