Hello,

I recently acquired a Stringmaster T8 that came with the extra nut for bass strings, and being new to the idea of having those low strings available, what tunings might be used (and their corresponding gauges if possible)? Any ideas, thoughts, anecdotes, regrets, and stories welcome!

Thanks,
Maddie

I am using a Db7 tuning, based on Santo's E7 tuning. I am traveling so I don't have my tuning notes handy. I will post it when I am back home next week.

Thank you all that replied. Very helpful! I’m a bass player in real life so you’d think I would be secure in choosing some low notes.
