Not me, David. I suggested the Mrs. R that something subtle (my idea was the Emmons logo across my forehead) might be acceptable but dhe put her foot down and I was thwarted.

I can't even stand to have my hand stamped at a concert. I made my kids promise not to get a tattoo while I'm alive. They both married heavily tattooed people, but so far, no tattoos themselves (at least that I can see).

To be frank, I can't stand tattoos. I was just kidding in my earlier post.

'Sides that Roj, once you had the Emmons logo all settled in you might switch to Show-Pro or Mullen or something.

Then what? Winking

I know a very successful entrepreneur who every time he sold one of this companies, he got the logo tattooed on him. He had something like 5 company logos on his leg

Ha!! I'd be sure not to get a Rittenberry - they're great steel guitars but my forehead's not wide enough. Smile

I don't have children but my wife does. One daughter was in the Marine Corp and came back with a couple (maybe a rite-of-passage in that branch of the Services?) but daughter #2 had no such justification.

I made the mistake of raising my eyebrows at the disfigurement she'd voluntarily submitted to and was told: "This expresses my individualism..." I said that all it did was follow a trend and that individualism has no part of 'trends'.

It's so odd this thread should emerge now: it was only on Friday that I lightheartedly suggested the 'Emmons' tattoo to Susie (poking gentle fun at her daughters) and here we are.

I've made more mistakes in life than I can even remember but none have left an embarrassing and eternal scar; for this, I'm thankful.

My reasons for getting my first ink a couple of years ago (non-steel related) are none of anybody's damned business.
But the idea that the Harper Valley PTA has gone out of its way to express itself on the subject is a bonus.
So glad I got it.

I need a black lined drawing of a steel guitar. I fancy a 2” x 1” tattoo. 😀 or even 3” x 2”. Any artists out there. ?

Brian Gattis is a steel player here in Atlanta, GA and one of the area’s top tattoo artists. He might help out. You can get him here on the SGF or FB.

Here's some ink at about 1:25. Looks like maybe a pedal steel guitar.

Another shot at about 2:40.
