Can anyone date this guitar Ser #1C3065.

Has anyone come up with a pup for these series of MSA that really changes the tone from the msa super sustain series pups.

I would guess the guitar was built in late 1974 or maybe 75. I owned S10 MSA Classic 1C2921. Mr. Anderson said it was born July 9, 1974.
Best thing to do, Get on MSA's website and send them the serial number. They have been good and finding birth days.

At 1 time I owned a MSA Classic S10 and D10. The S10 had an original MSA pup, It had that MSA sound. Someone had replaced the D10 pups with George L E-66's, The D10 seemed to have a much better sound to my ear. I am sure, Many other pups have been used in the hunt for sound and tone.

There are many pickup options. My suggestion, one of the Bill Lawrence or Telonics pickups.
Lawrence XR16, Telonics 409 or X10

The age of the guitar is not an issue. They are all very well built.

I could never get a tone I wanted with stock pups. This one has the big SS pup and I'm sure was not on the guitar when built.

I'm going to look into Bl or Gl pups.

Thanks for the input.

I don't have my old books handy, but I'd guess it was made in the summer of 1974; maybe in July or August.
