Any sources for parts/install on the necessary mods for a black corner pre-mod NV 400?

Even though this post is for a Nashville 112, the chips needed are the same.

I may be wrong, but I believe that when Peavey changed to the black corners on the NV400, that was when they started installing the factory mod.
Of course, I could be wrong. I've definitely been wrong before. hehe

Hi Charles,
I also have the PV 400 with the black corners, it needed the mod, so black corners may or may not apply.

It has been mentioned that there are 3 versions of this amp. Versions 1 and 3 did not need a modification, it's only version 2 that did.

Version 1 had a 1502-4 black widow speaker.
Version 3 had the Peavey mod installed on and after serial number 08575482.

So if your speaker is 1501-4 and your serial number is under 08575482, then a mod may be needed.

The sources I have used is Mouser Electronics, they have the parts/chips needed to mod your 400. If you are going to do this yourself, you MUST get the parts layout from Peavey, as the parts are not labeled on the board (C1, R17, etc.) and the instructions on what parts to replace/get from Mouser.

There is also a reverb mod still available from Bob Metzger (you can contact him, he's a member). It too, is a good addition.

Pat.

The Peavey mods happened after a certain serial number.
