I am looking for a replacement speaker for a silver stripe USA Nashville 112.

I need one that is 8 ohms. Recommendations please!

Thanks!

I'm sure you will get plenty of recommendations on the Eminence TT12. Also the Telonics 12. Look at previous posts and see the results. Many have gone to the TT12.

The new NV112's have a special designed Celestion speaker.
I was sent the prototype of this speaker (along with a couple of other players).
I like it every bit as much as the Blue Marvel, but there seems to be a little better separation with the new speaker.
These can be ordered direct from Peavey.

Try to find a "JBL K-120 8 ohm" if you buy one and put it in; you will NEVER LOOK back in searching.

Thanks all. When I re-did my search, I looked only in this Electronics forum. Bam! Lots of results that I am still going through.

Is it an 8 ohm or 4 ohm speaker? I need 8 Ohms.

At the risk of stating the obvious if you've been searching here for speakers, that Black Widow 1201 8 ohm speaker I have listed is a good speaker for steel and should be very compatible with your NV112.

I have 3 or 4 of these that I regularly use in my steel guitar rigs. The only caveat I can think of is weight. At 16# it's quite a bit heavier than your Blue Marvel with it's big magnet and cast frame. They are built like this to handle lots of Peavey amp power.

Jupiter ceramic! Great sounding light weight 8 ohm speaker that was recommended by Tim Marcus for twins and he’s used them in his own amps. I have two new ones that maybe I’ll build a cabinet for one day. 🙂

I assume the Celestion is a 4 ohm as that is what the NV112 is rated for.

Just curious as to why you need an 8 ohm, unless you are going to drive 2 speakers?

Yep, two 8 ohm speakers in parallel. I have a number of 15" speakers in cabs and I am considering getting a new cab for a 15" just for steel.

Before I can do anything, I have to get an 8 ohm in the NV112 first.

I just bought the NV112 and I sent it to back to Peavey to fix a couple of minor things and have it service/checked out.

I installed a Warehouse 'G12C/S' in my 112 and very pleased with the results. The price is considerably less than others mentioned here which is a definite plus.
