Just bought a bigsby volume/tone pedal but only the volume works, not the tone. I took it apart to look inside and it seems like the tone pot isn't connected where it's supposed to be. Anyone have any help? I am a decent solder but I don't know shit about wiring. I feel like it's pretty simple...

Well you have one lug of the pot connected to a capacitor thru to ground so you would want to connect from hot on the output jack to the centre lug (wiper) on the pot.

Looks like it's also missing the string for the tone pot.

Indeed. Fortunately, a shoestring usually works fine. Also, it may be worth getting a replacement capacitor because there is a chance it has degraded over time and actually turned more into a resistor. This happens to "paper-in-oil" capacitors where the paper, if not acid-free, will degrade and cause capacitance issues. The same paper degradation is what turns old books yellow-orange. Cool

I'm not sure of the factory value in the Bigsby pedals, but .047 and .022 microfarad are "ballpark".

Here's how to wire the Fender version of the Volume-Tone pedal. Circuitry-wise, they are basically the same so it'll work.
