This is a 70's (probably) Sho-Bro "Hawaiian" 7 string resonator, more than likely made by Shot Jackson himself after Gretsch stopped making them (he bought back a lot of the surplus materials after their partnership ended, this one still has a Gretsch sticker inside and original Gretsch case). This is a custom model with certain requests by the original owner, including wanting all black back and neck instead of the usual sunburst. It's in very good shape and seems to have spent a majority of its life in the case. I'm at work now but will upload more photos later this afternoon.

What's interesting about this model are the notes written inside the instrument. For one it mentions the black back, also you can see this isn't the usual Gretsch because of the sound posts used (like columns in a temple, sacred space!). For those who aren't familiar with these models they are more mellow than a bluegrass resonator and have a certain characteristic of their owns. This particular models was recently set up by a professional luthier in San Antonio Texas (Guitar Tex). Comes with its original case too. It's a terrific sounding instrument!

$1500 (shipping included in the price if in the cont USA). Send me a PM.

thanks!
Lloyd
