havent recorded anything in a while, so i decided to record a standard called "my foolish heart". lots of nice chords in this one. starts out with just my many string lap steel and then a drum loop and an electric bass join in. sort of a 12/8 groove. just enjoying some nice chord changes. thanks for listening.

Well, that was nice! I’ll leave it for someone else to guess your tuning, but in an otherwise sparse arrangement that guitar really fills it out nicely. AND . . . some pretty tasty moments in that bass line. Thanks for that.

On purpose, I don’t put other instruments on the things I record. The steel has to carry it all. No excuse…Winking

Very nice! You're playing what steel guitar is for. Great changes, Bill.

Thanks for posting that Bill. Such a beautiful song. I was trying to picture how a person could play this on steel guitar and I am completely baffled!

I stay baffled a lot of the time while I work out tunes. As soon as I find the right key to use, things start falling into place. A good place to start is also with a very good tune. This is a great standard to play. Thanks to all for listening.
