Handcrafted in the the Ozarks region of the USA by Bales Guitars, founded in 1987. This is a great Weissenborn shaped lap steel. Semi-hollow chambered body. 25 inch scale. Gorgeous woods, quality components, and great construction. Has some finger pick marks in the topcoat (lacquer) finish, but otherwise minty. Comes with a better quality TKL gig bag. $700 shipped.

Here are some more details:
Tuners: Grover Rotomatics (full size).
Pickup: Unknown -- has adjustable pole pieces.
Woods: It appears that the body is made from maple (it weighs 8-9 pounds), with a walnut or black walnut top and peghead overlay. Maybe Bubinga for the fretboard (but not sure) and pearl dots.
Size: The size is similar to an Asher Hawaiian Junior, but the sound is quite different.
Chambering: It appears the upper bout only is chambered, the rest appears to be solid.
Sound: Has a more "open" sound, more on the mellow side and "airy" -- probably a combination of the chambering and the pickup and its placement and maybe the woods used.
