I would really love to figure out a way to get the RKR to work on the C6 neck and maybe add a 5th pedal for the C neck as well |

Yes, indeed. I would love to do that (especially the RKR), too, and from what I've been able to learn, it would be a major project. I'm hoping one of our forumites can find a solution! _________________ Gettin' better . . .

That was my biggest complaint about the Rack & barrel Professional I had. But rememger, when that guitar came out, the "standard" for C6 was 5p/1k. I'm not sure if the 2 hole puller models had the 2nd right knee lever working both necks.
As far as adding more levers, your biggest hurdle will be finding parts. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Cool. Most of the Sho-Bud stuff I saw is for a Super-Pro, only a few things for the older Buds. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . if you can source the parts i would say it's not a big project.
if you're missing some, it gets tougher pretty quickly.
i was lucky enough to get parts for a pro 2 i had from michael yahl, but i had to get a machinist to make the cross shafts, knee lever brackets and work out the linkages. your challenge will be locating barrels, but the rest is pretty easy to have made. i just took some parts i had on hand to be copied, and explained the differences if i needed them to be reversed.
these are such cool instruments, but if it;s not getting played because it isn't equipped to the standard you want, you might as well figure it out. |
