Nicely done David.
I have been taking bass guitar lessons, and this song "Autumn Leaves" is referenced quite often as a tune to learn and practice with because of the chord progression. Great for learning a walking bass line. I have been wondering what it would sound like on steel. Beautiful song. Thanks for posting. |

My main reason for doing videos is that personally I'm more apt to watch someone play than to just listen to someone play. I think David Hartley for some of that, and especially why I do the overhead over the shoulder POV shot. I someone does something fancy I like, it speeds up finding what they did if I can see where they did it.
Setting up to video is really a pretty small and inexpensive task. I use a couple different webcams the straight on shot costing about 50 bucks. I record in my DAW as I video, and for me thats where the slowdown comes, as I'm not typically a one and done player. I'd be faster at the recording if I wasn't videoing at the same time. BUT, I think your playing prowess is pretty well honed, that you'd be able to it with little extra effort.
