A couple of rather gorgeous new guitars a friend of mine just finished. I’m keeping the eight string, the six will be up for grabs soon. Lollar and Sentell pickups. Basically a mahogany sandwich on bubble maple. They sound really great, hard to put down. I’m keeping the eight but I think the six may sound just a little better, odd as it’s a shorter scale (22 1/2”)..

He also repurposed a broken Rickenbacker Bakelite neck I had kicking around. Mated with an ash body it sounds very Fender meets Rickenbacker. Also a Sentell pickup. I’d like to keep this one but the eight pretty much drained the instrument account!

Nice!

I'm "all in" with Jerry Sentell's pickups and rewinds.

Wow! Nice array of new steels. I’m a big fan of those Lollar “Console Grande” pickups. I have them on a single-eight and a double-eight that I built. Great balanced sound.
